I believe a good designer needs a high level of acuity in the three "C's". 

Creativity, Curiosity and Communication.

My graphic design career has been one long, evolving conversation between two things I can't separate — analytical thinking and creative problem-solving. Over my long experience as both a creative and leader, I've built brand systems, managed cross-continental teams, and spent my career turning complex information into communication that actually works. I've rebranded companies, built design organizations from scratch, and created visual systems that had to hold up across thousands of deliverables, dozens of designers, and more than a few executive opinions.

I've lived in Iowa, Colorado, and Texas. Each place left something useful behind — Iowa gave me a work ethic, Colorado gave me perspective, and Texas gave me the understanding that air conditioning is not a luxury.

I can build most things, fix most things, and have opinions about most things, though I've learned to keep the latter to myself until someone asks.
